Habits of a CCS Graduate

Grounded in Cornerstone’s vision of knowing and loving Jesus Christ and making a difference in the world as His disciples, our graduates will carry with these values and habits that set them apart for this calling and equip them for service in God’s world.

Clarity & Courage
Graduates are equipped to engage this world with clarity and courage, pointing others to the truth of Jesus Christ and reflecting a thoroughly biblical foundation in thought, in word, and in deed.

Community
Graduates work together as members of Christ’s body—thinking critically, communicating clearly, and collaborating in ways that build one another up and make the most of each person’s gifts.

Compassion
Following Christ’s example, graduates see through the eyes of others, step into their place, and respond with love—especially toward those who are hurting or struggling in a broken world.

Perseverance
Graduates face challenges with patience and faith, steadily seeking to grow in knowledge and skill. They build resilience and courage as they look with hope toward the next challenge.

Joy & Curiosity
Graduates delight in God and His creation, exploring, discovering, and creating with imagination and curiosity. They live as image-bearers, expressing His creativity as craftsmen and artists.

Integrity & Humility
Graduates seek wisdom in thought, word, and deed. They humbly model honesty and truthfulness, discerning how to live faithfully before God and others.

Excellence
Graduates seek to move beyond what is adequate into what is excellent, pursuing in academics and vocation to “work at it with all their heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” (Colossians 3:23).
